He is a vibrant little boy from one of the dire ghettos. lost his father at the age of three, leaving him under the care of his mother. However, due to limited resources, He is unable to go to school thus attends our library.

She is one of the young girls who attends our programs. Her grandmother raises her together with other siblings and relatives. Most kids just like her always come to have meals and learn with us.

ROSE
Rose's mother died recently, and she lives with her late mother's friend who sells water to cater for her family and assist us in sheltering Rose as we find a solution on moving her to the shelter.

He comes to our library. He is bonding well with kids. He loves drawing and reading. Green is his favorite color. When he grows up, he hopes to become a doctor.His mother continues to raise him as a single parent and sells cabbages.

SAMUEL
Samuel's mother collects scrap metals to look after him and the whole family. Samuel is often left in the community to survive on his own and our library programs continue to help many kids like him be safe and fed during the day as his mother has to work.

MARIAM
Her parents separated, and she lives with her mother. With little income from selling fried local pancakes on the street and washing clothes in her neighborhood for people to earn a living. Her mother is the one who drops her at the library everyday.

MERCY
Mercy is one of the many girls that attend our programs daily with her plate. she is always on her own since her father works and returns in the evening and our library gives her the comfort and family she needs with her siblings.

PRINECESS
She loves playing with dolls at the library and lives with her mother and her other four siblings.Her mother washes clothes for people and earns aliving to cater and feed her children. This makes it hard for her to meet all needs and it is why she has never attended school.

JOSEPH
After the death of his father, things became problematic at home as his mother struggles to find work and meet all the needs. He joined our library programs and continues to transform on a daily. He loves card and football.

DERRICK
His mother works at a charcoal store to help provide for all her six children. Derrick is one of the many boys who joined the library at its start, through our library he has finished primary seven and needs a sponsor to join secondary school. He continues to attend our programs daily.

ARMSTRONG
Armstrong joined us at the start of our pop-libraries at the field. He has grown up in our hands and our programs. He was raised in the worst of communities sorrounded by alcoholism, with such influence, his mind had to grow up faster than his age. He finished primary school and now he needs a sponsor to join secondary school.

Hilary is one of the smartest boys in our classes.He has been raised by a single mother who works tirelessly to provide for her children.With raising kids in the ghettos comes a great range of challenges where children learn many bad behaviours. Hilary joined us when he was in the worst shape. He has transformed for the better and ready to join secondary school

He is being mentored by caring adults at our library who have committed to guide him in the right path as he builds a strong relationship with Christ. He stays with his mother who sells water for a living. He is in grade six at our library program.

EMMANUEL
He is among the young boys who started with us at the library. He is among the many boys we have provided mattresses for. He is raised by a single father since his mother left. He is in grade four at our library and he is aging and doesn't fit in the library programs, because his knowledge needs to be expanded more in a school.

Mugaga's mother suffered a stroke which caused her diffculties thus making her unable to cater for him and his siblings. He continues to learn at our library together with his siblings. Many children who join our libraries join us to find something to eat as it is hard at home.

Joy very littel is known about her past; only that she was abandoned as a baby and her aunt took her in and has been raising. Her aunt brought her to our library after learning of our learning programs for the children and she has been attending our reading classes since then.

King is a joyful boy who enjoys reading and playing cards with his friends during break time. He attends our programs since it's start. He is being raised by a single mother in one of the ghettos that we work in and continues to grow through our programs.

JAC
Jac is from Eastern Uganda. When he was barely a few weeks old, his mother abandoned him in a strange ghetto where many community memebers took him on and raised him as their own. He didn't have a stable place. One kind resident brought him into her hide out centre. He has been attending our library since its start.

Peace and her brother lived with their single mother in one of the deep villages in Uganda. Their mother was not able to look after her properly and the brothers were forced to constantly ask people for help thus one person brought her to our office and she has been with us ever since.

EDGAR
Edgar's mother suffered a stroke which as caused her diffculties and unable to cater for him and his siblings. He continues to learn at our library together with his siblings. Many children who join our libraries join us to find something to eat as it is hard at home.

JOY RUTH.
She is a happy soul and loves to play with other children. she has Autism condition that is misunderstood by the community and she is mostly happy at the library as she isn't treated like an outcast just as the community feels. She continues to grow everyday.

MBAZIIRA
She is one of the girls who attends all the programs with her mother who struggles with eye illnesses. she attends our library and is in grade one. she enjoys to sing and play with other children. Our library continues to mother and father many children. She continues to grow everyday.

MERCY
She loves music and continues to grow in our library programs. Her mother works in one of the shops in the community to be able to provide rent and clothes for her kids. Because she has many kids and relatives she can't put them all in school and our library is a refuge for many. She is one of the girls who is changing every day and hopes to join school.

PRINCESS
Born to a teen mother who is still navigating through life herself often makes it hard for her to present for her child which is a struggle for the baby. Princess spends much of her time with us at the library and loves to sing, read together with other kids.

He is among the young boys who give us the joy to do what we do despite the challenges that his families continues to face. His mother is the soul provider for him and his brothers. This overwhelms many parents who send their children to join our library at all times.

Stewart is among the many boys who have struggled right from an early age and continue to handle so much at an early age. His mother is the soul provider who collects scrap metals and empty bottles around the city streets to provide for her kids. She has to always leave the kids alone to fend for them.

JULIUS
After his mother split with Julius's father, the mother was left with all the responsiblities and when she failed to meet them she abandoned him and his sisters at her aunt's place. We met them during our bed family. He continues to attend our libraries and enjoys playing football with other kids.

JOSEPH
His mother was among the first women who we came across during the COVID crisis and was in a very delicate state and required treatment which we provided and all her needs. Her condition needed joseph to be seperated from her for awhile and it is how he came to us ever since.
